Thanks for a great first leg of Bronach 2013. I so wish I'd caught up with Jamesie on the walk at Culloden. Know I missed out on inspired narration. Did find plenty of emotion in the war memorial at Edinburgh Castle, though. At the space honoring the nurses, the engraving of the mortally wounded soldier being carried away reminded me of the Pieta. I all but broke into crying. The image of the crucified Jesus in his mother's arms was also recalled in a picture from 2001 of the body of the FDNY's chaplain, Fr. Michael Judge, being carried from the wreck of the WTC south tower. Warned of the danger he faced, Fr. Judge insisted on staying at his men's side. Celtic blood is thicker than all water.

You folks make some of the most intense, inspiring, pure, fierce music I've ever heard! I'm so glad I stumbled across you on youtube! Seriously high quality stuff, and your live performances look positively electrifying. And Jacquie is truly a role model for female musicians everywhere. It's not too common for a woman to be a key instrumentalist in a group, and not just sing and/or look pretty, but Jacquie is vital to the group's sound and she's a brilliant musician to boot. Go Jacquie! :)So, hey, maybe it's time to finally bring your act up to the great North! Canada would love to host you! 🙂 Here's hoping Toronto will host an Albannach invasion someday soon!
