Celtic Radio Album Review

For 2006, Albannach's debut album was chosen as the artist and album of the year by Celtic Radio. We are happy to report that their latest release for 2007 - Eye of the Storm - continues upon their great musical conquest with an incredible display of drums, bagpipes and vocals. If you like to dance to bagpipes and drums, then Albannach has redefined the genre with their unique musical talents. The music is just beautiful, exciting and heart pounding all at the same time!

Every track is crafted so carefully to support their purpose of sharing their culture, heritage and history of Scotland. From the beautiful vocals of Jacquie to the poetic and moving track, "The Uprising." Along with the added sound effects and phrases, there has certainly been a lot of hard work put into this album and it shows.

Eye of the Storm exceeds our expectations in addition to being an all around excellent album. It really is an adventure into the realm of Scotland's culture and history. Ever moving and transforming from track to track, the album captures what it is to be Scottish - to be from Scotland - and to sing and play about Scotland's glorious past. This is why people love Celtic Music so much and fall in love with Scotland.

We can say that if you do not add this album to your Celtic Music collection, you will certainly be missing out on one of the best albums to be released this year. A well earned 5 Golden Celtic Radio stars for Eye of the Storm!
