Now the plan is to get EARLY and leave Edinburgh via the train into Glasvegas, once there we will take the underground to Lucky Cat...its about 5 mins walk from Underground.

Once in there we shall have a meet and Greet with your artist Kev, we can then start getting folks inked. Those who are not we can take a walk or go for drinks and food plenty of bars and cafes around.

I'll be meeting Kev next week to talk about the design, we hope the design takes no more than an Hr each.

This will be the 2012 tour design....so ONLY the folks who come on thsi tour will have the Tattoo...just like the last tour Tattoo...like a kinda Brotherhood/Sisterhood or Fellowship...yeah i lkike that.

Now the Whisky Thistle seems to work for most....with the lettering ALBA X11 ...personally i think its way cool!!
Again thses colours might not work so Kev will have final say on that....lets trust his artist skill.

The design being discussed here is exclusively for those going to Scotland in April, but I know there are folks out there who have tats of the band's logo. I hope that helps.

I'm waiting to see the colors, and hoping that the size isn't THE size. I like it, but don't love it. being a tatt virgin, I need to LOVE my first one. Hoping for lot's of purple...we'll see.

Kev is a very nice and easy going man. Last time he worked with us in the choice of colors, so that even though the design was the same each tatt was unique. If you want lots of purple, I'm sure it won't be a problem. And like Lee-Ann said, they are not very big.

IMO it's a perfect first tattoo. Think of all the awesome memories that will be attached to it

there is a lot of us going now, i have been looking at the price of Trains and undergrounds BOTH WAYS and wew might be better booking private travel to get us there and back....each person will be spending on public travel so why not put that to private instead....it might work out cheaper and way easier!!!!

Let me know if everyone is cool with that and i'll look into it

Spoke with Kev today...he'll have a design ready for me soon. He'll keep it simple though, we are going to have to involve the other artists in the studio due to the number of Bronachers wanting Inked, they are bith really good and nice peeps.
Colours...purple will def be in there....lets wait and see what he comes up with.

No plastic for me, I try not use plastic overseas. I just get cash from atms it way cheaper that way in the end. Saved up so I won't have use the cards!

Guys it is my opinion that you are paying enough for this day out...between the Ink and the transport its an expensive day out, now Tip is up to you....if you feel that you want to then i'd say Ten pound would be cool.

Its up to you...remember in Scotland we dont tip everything and everyone...its different, if you want to tip its up to you BUT its not frowned upon NOT to tip....just being honest guys.

FYI, last time we didn't see the design until we were at the tattoo studio. We went on faith on Kev's talent as an artist and the desire to have something special and one of a kind. I would have thought that at this point it's pretty much a done deal as far as making a decision to get it or not.

Oh I am so sad I am missing this trip!! I have just had way too much to deal with lately!

Those of you that are feeling questionable about getting a tat - I want to tell you that getting the first tat (and I mean the very first one!) was one of the serious highlights of my trip in 2010. It is memorabilia that I will never loose and I show it off a LOT! Kev is the real deal and I even miss the guy a bit.

Someone tell him I said Hello and he gets compliments all the time on his artwork I wear around.

You guys have fun! I'm glad to see some of the original trip is making it over again! I expect lots of photos. I will be thinking of yas!

It wasn't a done deal for me for a number of reasons. I have been waiting to see if we would get to see the final design before we left these shores. If you had to wait until the last moment last trip, it very well might be the same this time. But I am NOT going to put something on my body that I will look at and say "meh". If I don't love it, I won't get it. Plain and simple.

The number of people going was limited to a few and the artists are expecting a certain number of people. It's expected (it was last time) that if you go, the decision to get the tattoo has already been made. It's not fair for the artists or for anyone who might have wanted to go but didn't make the list for people to just change their minds at the last minute. Not to mention the fact that Jamesie went out of his way to do this for us. He didn't have to.

Ana is right, Jamesie has gone out of his way, besides if you are really in doubt, you could take a picture with you of an alternative tattoo. That way you feel like you have a choice. I would go for it again this year but my eczema has different ideas. Kev is a master artist and has such a light touch. Between him and Jamesie they will come up with a tasteful pretty one of a kind ink. Yes, they will. No worries.

I'm glad the Whiskey Center thistle is being used. The time we spent there was a lot of fun! The tattoo will carry the memories of not one, but two awesome trips. I have absolute confidence in you and Kev and can't wait to get my ink.
