Currently a Registered Nurse and been a Cardiac Surgery ICU nurse for 10 years, but I was originally a science major w/ the intent on vet school.

Long story short...couldn't fulfill my dream then for various reasons, so I'm going after it now.  Working on knocking out the pre-reqs but having to do it part time, so am hoping to actually apply to vet school in 2 years.  I love all science (although not looking forward to o-chem), I just don't have time to read for fun.  I was actually up at Va Tech yesterday playing w/ their electron microscope....awesome stuff!

In the middle of Women of the Pleasure Quarters, all about geisha and their history.  Still have a few books in progress, but this one is the go-to right now.

Just finished Faefever. I don't scare easy, but couldn't help being a little spooked...what a way to end a book! Ready for installment 4 now. However, until after my final exam on Wednesday, it's the Medical Terminology book that's going to get any attention.

I'm also  reading one called The Rose Laberynth, by Titania Hardy (can't quite remember the spelling of her last name. Pretty good - think Da Vinci Code/The Lost Symbol - but much slower than those two. Not bad, though.

Just finished a whole stack of library requests on Scotland's history (oh, big surprise!).

Robert the Bruce: King of Scots was really well written and very informative.

Now, into the used book stall's latest 'chick porn', as the spouse calls it..... :mrgreen

Just finished reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.  Great read, witches, vampires, love, sex, murder and at the very end  ? ? ............. this is the first book of a triology.  The second episode is not due out until "hopefully 2012".  I don't want to spoil any thing so I'm going to shut up!

One chapter to go in the geisha book then I move on to a book written in 1886 about Japanese Houses and the landscaping around them.   Surprisingly easy read, not boring at all, and actually quite amusing and insightful.
