I just want to know, why do they always have to be circles? Why not a drum rhombus or a drum triangle?

Maybe because drums are circular?

I live fairly close to Fredericksburg, VA, and a friend of mine owns a shop there that hosts drum circles on a regular basis.  Get enough people who know what they're doing together, and a drum circle can be a rocking good time!

Sunday mornings are for sleeping in, not for working. HVAC system here has been making really annoying noise for a week. I'm very ready to do some "home maintenance."

Does your "Home Maintenance" involved a sledgehammer?  :mrgreen

This year I'm doing a bit of maintenance myself. I have a ceiling guy coming Mon/Tues to fix my kitchen ceiling (He's calling tonight to confirm an exact time). I have a friend who also says he will install hardwood floors in my living-room for me as well as a utility sink in the basement and (if he agrees and I have enough money for the supplies) strip out my first-floor bathroom, re-tile the floor (and the kitchen floor) and put in new fixtures. That will do it for me so far as maintenance goes this year.

Somewhere in all that mess I need to rip out the poorly suspended ceiling in the basement and re-hang a new one. I think I can do that all on my onesies though.

I love doing all that.  I just ordered the cabinets for my master bath yesterday.  It's now just a bare room, but plumbing, electrical, tile, shower, vanity, T, paint, fixtures and lighting and a lock on the door and it will be a luxury hideaway.    :) :8

He is losing it by choice, i.e. barbering himself so his belly is bald.

He is 'man-scaping' - I hear that is a new trend  :halo

st patricks was ok, i was on more of a budget this year, but it was great to be able to have the day off.  luckilly i requested it off in advance.  the pub i went to was ok but it was a chain, it to me seemed like it was trying to be something it wasn't capable of being.  evern been to a chain restaurant or pub that tries to fake a atmosphere thats a theme, lol.  well thats the feeling i got at this place and the bartenders and servers were way cold and not into the holiday.

In reply to a previous post (since I am CRAPPY at cut-and-paste), we have drum CIRCLES because, often, the drummers are a wee bit inebriated, and do far better doing ANTHING, i.e., walking, talking, drumming, and thinking...in circles... :D

so cat update:

After spending $300 on the blood test, he is allergic to everything, including himself.  (not quite but close).  Went through the entire dry food selection at PetSmart until I could find one without something he could eat.

St. Patty's Week was a rousing success. Tuesday night: saw The Adicts in Baltimore after work, and lost my glasses in the pit. Oops. Thankfully I had a pair of contacts left in my bag. Wednesday: skipped work, drove around aimlessly, had a really good crabcake sandwich for lunch, then back to Baltimore to see Central PA friends DeathMaschine and a couple Baltimore-local bands opening for Hanzel und Gretyl and Genitorturers. Thursday: got a quick shower at my buddy's place before heading out to see Barleyjuice in Harrisburg. Friday: nothing, huzzah! Saturday: finally removed contacts from Tuesday night after having forgot to on Friday, laundry, real shower, then off to King of Prussia mall to buy new glasses (friend that works there got me a good discount) and sushi with some of the Philly Wicked Faire/Steampunk crew.
