Topic: Tour Dates in Seattle, WA area???

I moved from SW Scotland to the Seattle, WA area in December 1999 and miss some of the great Scottish music like Albannach.  I just looked over your toour dates, but Plesanton, CA seems to be the closest please to me.  Are there any plans for any WA venues?  There are loads of Highland Games/Events here during the Summer months and a strong Scottish presence.
Plus the women here love a guy with a Scottish accent!

I suggested Bumbershoot once for a venue.  I love Seattle, its my favorite city in the country.  Any excuse to get me there is a good one.

The best way to get the band to consider a venue you like, is to send a message.  We used to message Donovan, but he is no longer managing the band.  Not sure where to send to the new management.  Maybe someone else has an idea.

I know they have Gaelic lessons all over that area.  Drives me nuts cause there's nothing out here. :P

I am with you. I wish these small town venue's would get there act together( no pun intended) and get some music worth listening to. Nothing here in Oregon either. We are making the trek to Calif. just to see the Mighty Nach. It takes a lot to get us into that state anymore.
If you decide to attend Pleasanton, stop off in Grants Pass, Or. We can all have dinner and head out together. Not sure at this point when my husband & I are headed out. Most likely it will be Friday Sept 2nd. It looks like a about a 6 hour drive from here. Just under 400 miles.
I do believe the trip with be well worth it. I can hardly wait for Sept.

I am so glad to see these posts! I am a native to Washington and currently living in Oregon.....but I have spent the past three summers working in Estes Park, Colorado...which is where I first saw Albannach in concert, at the Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Festival.

Anyhow!

I sent a message to someone in charge of booking concerts or something like that a few months ago to see about getting the band to Washington or Oregon. I offered up my house (in both states), my car, me being a personal chef....pretty much everything...haha....if it meant the band traveling a little farther north than Cali for a few days.

We have alot of great venues, the Gorge definately being one of them, and hopefully it is only a matter of time.
