The bands totally stoked to be going back to the PA Celtic Fling in 2011....great venue, great crowds...look forward to seeng some friendly faces there!

I agree with Barabara, if Scythian are playing it is almost too much to resist. If Rathkeltair is there, I may have to sell something to ensure I can go.

Celtic Fling is my favorite event of the year. The heat, for the past three; is UNFRIGGENBEARABLE, but so worth it. For me; it's the best line up; every year. (Of course leaving the absence of the Nach out of the factoring).

There is always a fantastic band on every stage; so much to do and their setup allows you to see everyone you'd like to. Great groups such as Icewagon Flu and the Town Pants (which I've always like to see more of!).

Sadly, Ceann (I would assume) will not make it this year due to Patrick's tragic passing.

Looks like I'll be bringing a friend and her twin girls to the Fling. None of them have ever heard Albannach...so we'll see how it goes.

They announced it will be their 10th birthday, and they REALLY want to go to the faire, so they want me to take them with or without their parents!

It'll be really interesting. Maybe I'll offer to make them some medieval garb too.

Check the Country Inn & Suites... it's about 15 minutes away. I stayed there for the Ren Faire & was very happy with it.

I'm getting dizzy from going in circles!

My boss decided to be generous since I never made it to Faire at all last year...and he has granted me Sunday, the 26th, as a day off.

SO, back to YES I'M GOING TO FLING, WOOHOO!! My sister and perhaps a friend of hers will be in tow.

I'm not sure if I'll make it to Maryland this year; even though I am doing well overall, I still am very tried by mid-day and I no longer have tolerance to heat since chemo/radiation. Cancer does change a person.

I can't walk now as I blew out my knee again, the hip is shot and I pulled a groin muscle, but what the hey, life is short and it was worth it.

What was with the security again at the sides of the stage? And did you see one of the security guys coming over to get Dan off the stage?

I noticed that one of the security guys kept back away from the crowd and the big one was in the way. I was more bugged by the girl who kept shifting her weight back and forth in front of me and blocking my shot. I wouldn't care if she was dancing but she looked bored and like she was looking for someone besides the band. Then again my boy looks bored at most shows because he is trying to look cool, I guess

I did get some bouncing out of him this time so we're working on that
