I'm thinking of going if I can get someone to chuck me in their trunk and carry me along through the backwoods. I share fuel expenses, sing loudly with the radio (mostly with lyrics of my own making) and I'll be packing Jameson and Rum if I go.  |

Here's my 2 cents worth,
For anyone who has not been to the " Las Vegas in the Smokey Mtns" then i'd say go!
The games itself are old skool, meaning there not to big but just right. Great vendors, clan tents, great Scottish grub and some good music. They also have a pretty good massed band set up and the comps are worth watching as well.
Albannach have not been down this way in a few years so we are looking forward to it, we always enjoyed going for a walk downtown, that place is crazy and well worth the viewing!!
The games are good but getting to see the surrounding mountians and the town itself are a must!

There are soooo many hotels/motels all along the main drag! Every price range imaginable! Last time I was there, stayed at Best Western & they must have given me the honey-moon suite, complete with fireplace;wet-bar; separate room with giant sunken jacuzzi tub ; even thermostatically controlled tile on floors!!! best part was you could have room service delivered from all the local restaurants!!! HMMMM....would be a nice place to stay with a certain someone!!!!  |

Gatlinburg is fun. I was so happy to see it back on the tour schedule this year. There is a wonderful aquarium in Gatlinburg too...it's smaller, but just as nice as some of the larger ones in Atlanta and Chattanooga...and who can forget Gatlinburg's Famous Fudge !!  I've got a Relay for Life event that weekend, but hope to show up at some point. |

Mudlinburg was INSANE! All my jeans were covered in mud and so were my tennis shoes! We left for Scotland the next week after that, just remember doing loads and loads and loads of laundry and washing my shoes too...lol I'm ready to goooo!!!! |
