crazy thing for ya jamesie & guys - Wrong CD Info ?

long story short. i don't remember when i bought my cd copy of eye of the storm(grandfather the first year or @ murray state or online),
but our computer died so i was ripping the cd to the new comp & i got all the music,but in ripping i got all the info for this guy-

name,album cover,songlist,etc. but it's the mighty nach eye of the storm. this is windows vista & when i got the new harddrive i deleted all the preinstalled music for the media player. just curious if anyone else got this or if your cd pressing plant screwed up. just curious.

I saw that once too....way back when I first got the CD.  Its some kind of search result, (yeah obviously heheh) but because Albannach is not found, that's the next closest result.

Its been so long I don't remember the particulars of the program I used or whatnot....just that the name is familiar.

Hi All,

We've had this query by email a few times....

Are you using Windows Media Player ?  Our CDs do not include CD Text, so to get the names of tracks etc automatically, Windows Media Player (or whatever player you are using) connects to the internet and downloads a configuration file from a public music database (CDDB).  Occasionally, it will download the wrong file if there are more than 1 artist with the same album title **(or if a previous user has manually uploaded the wrong track info)**.  David Olney also has an album called 'Eye Of The Storm' and Whistlebinkies also have an Album named 'Albannach'.

To solve this.... When ripping, simply edit the track names, per the details on the back cover or on our website, and Windows Media Player etc will save that new information.  If it's also downloaded the wrong album cover, you can get the correct cover artwork from our website.  It will also normally upload the new updated details to the CDDB that it is using.

To check that the actual music on the CD is correct, please visit the following page where you can listen to the music that should be on that CD, and compare it with what you have !

I got The Whistleblinkies with an alternate song list from the first album for quite a while too.
