Hey folks,
Just a quickie to let everyone know that we are back in our homeland safe and sound!
What can we say about Grandfather this year....well.......lets say it was a crazy as ever!
There crowds on Saturday seemed to be bigger than usual...not sure but it took a life time to weave your way from one place to another....packed out with people having a good time, gotta love it.
Bit different for the Nach this year, we moved house over to Grove 2....I'll admit we didn't like it at first, you see we are used to having our own pitch so to fit in somewhere else was strange for us....prob strange for the other bands as well.....loads of mental Nach fans invading their home turf....YEAH
. Once Friday was well under way we got it together and bonded with our surroundings....ended up a pretty cool place to be.
GFM would not be GFM if it didn't rain and to our surprise it came on Sat this year not Sunday....dont know about you guys but i thought it was kinda cool playing in the rain....gave it a more tribal feeling....does that sound daft? Now...with all that rain the powers that be made the call to move the Sat night Jam into grove 2....jeeeesssssss.....the energy in that muddy hole was overpowering.....to stand on stage and feel it was immense....all the bands before us did a top class job of whipping the crowd into a frenzy, so by the time we hit the stage the place was on fire.....ONLY downside was the fact that the fans couldn't dance...i suppose safety comes first.
We closed out on Sunday tired and beat-up....our main man Kyle is on the mend folks, think its a case of some well deserved rest for him now, it was a shame to pull out of our last set but things happen and am sure we'll make up for it next year
We'd like to put out a MASSIVE thanks to our merch team this year....our merch table ran like a well oiled machine......Peggy and Randy, Hilary, Deb's, Susie Mac, Big Keithie and Sparky....the weekend would not be the success that it was without you all, thanks so much for all the hard work you put in, your all the best!!!!
So thats it for now, hope to see some of you in the fall, if we dont take care and keep the memories alive!
